  1. So CO2 halved from 2014 levels...but what happened to methane levels? Which are much, much worse in the short-term. Especially as we are teetering on the brink of AMOC collapse.

  2.  @5353Jumper  Nobody is suggesting we go back to coal. What is necessary is that we don't release dangerous greenhouse gases, NOT just CO2!

That holds true at leakage rates as low as 0.2%, however the study points out that recent surveys have found leakage rates far above that of "0.65% to 66.2%." The peer reviewed study was published in the journal Environmental Research Letters.
