@JonathanB138 Gender is a social construct, the problem is when people confuse biological sex characteristics with gender, or deny biological sex characteristics even exist. No amount of hormones and surgery and socialisation can change that. I don't care if women want to pretend to be men, or men to be women; one of my favourite male friends sometimes wore a dress to uni 35 years ago. But you can never change your chromosomes.

No. I just saw a video of how it was reported in Russia. The vast majority hears nothing of that. Only those with Telegram have any inkling of what really happened. A lot of them think it was Ukraine marching towards Moscow. A lot didn't even know anything was happening at all until Putin's speech.

But solar, wind and batteries are the cheapest means of fuel generation in the world now. The problem is corruption whereby fossil fuel companies negotiate taxpayer-funded subsidies in order to keep themselves afloat into the future, rather than become stranded assets. Those exorbitantly subsidised gas and coal power plants are what is driving up energy prices. Stop the corrupt subsidies and the problem of expensive energy prices will disappear.

@hartunstart The problem with that is that climate is controlled by planetary systems, not regional ones. Also, how do you propose they" mix heat and cold"? Thirdly, the coldest areas in the world are heating fastest, for example the Arctic is heating 6 times faster than the rest of the planet, and the polar ice caps are critical in regulating the world's temperature via ocean and air currents that circulate temperature around the globe already.

The latest I heard from the lead lawyer of the International Criminal Court investigating war crimes in Ukraine, is that Russians have been raping a torturing children as young as four in Ukraine. Russian soldiers are a disgrace to humanity. How can ordinary Russian men become so monstrous, so quickly?

What an inhuman disgrace to our race that reptilian Putin is, he reminds me of a Komodo dragon. He is nothing but a swaggering, narcissistic organised crime boss who has been bleeding Russia of its fossil fuel profits for decades, and wants to do the same to Ukraine, with the hope of intimidating Europe into continuing to buy Russian gas in an era on the brink of horrible climate change. I hate him.

@primus1377 Putin will fall. Didn't you hear? Ukraine has retaken Lyman, and its rail hub - and they aren't stopping there. Meanwhile, Ukraine is getting its largest supply of tanks and other weapons from the Russians who abandon it and run, far more than what they get from the US even. Thanks for supplying them with weapons. Meanwhile, Putin's pressgangs are arming the ethnic minorities of Russia and sending them for cannon fodder in large numbers. He might find those guns turned back on him and his tyrannical regime before long.
