@usrgit What rubbish. Putin has started several wars of aggression, condoned torture and mass kidnapping, and has robbed billions from his own people. Navalny hasn't even been in power, so how could you say he has done any of those things? Answer: You can't.

@usrgit Navalny recently penned an article from prison for The Washington Post in which he condemns Putin's "imperial authoritarianism," and he publicly supports a proper, democratically run referendum there, rather than the fake one they had. Meanwhile, his chief of staff has recently come out and said that Crimea belongs to Ukraine.

@usrgit At no point did Navalny say Crimea "was Russia." What he did say was that Crimea was not like a sandwich to be handed between those who want a bite. Instead, it was entitled, in his opinion, to a genuine, uncorrupted, referendum. As Crimea, like the rest of Ukraine, originally voted to be independent of Russia in the 1990's, they would likely vote the same way in an unrigged referendum, and Navalny knows it.

It is disgusting that so many Russians just shrug and say it's just the way things are, or I'm fine, and that's all that I care about. They have relinquished all concept of right and wrong, good and evil, and all that exists in them is self interest. They have become a hollow people.
