@williamaycock579 He made his fortune with Paypal and SpaceX, but he's about to make it big time with grid scale batteries, which are quadrupling sales each quarter, and in 2025, when Germany, France and Britain are banning the sale of internal combustion engine cars.
1
@williamaycock579 He only inherited about $150,000. He made Paypal (he has degrees in physics and economics) and it sold for $1.5Billion, of which he, as major shareholder received $175.8 million. At the moment, Tesla is making huge profits, especially growing in the Megapack battery utility storage area; Tesla made $5.382 billion in total profits in the third quarter of 2022. So, no, he didn't inherit his wealth, nor is he making his money from crypto. SpaceX is the most highly valued private company in the US.
1
@gwine9087 And the fastest growing market is the electric car market, by far. They are the future, many countries won't allow combustion engines to be sold after 2030.
1
@gwine9087 Recycling.
1
@gwine9087 Think of all that CO2, from all those internal combustion engine cars, going up into the atmosphere and staying there for up to a thousand years, keeping the Sun's heat in as the climate gets hotter and destabilises, and melts the Arctic (and Antarctic) ice, and releases the methane from the subsea methane hydrates and the permafrost. That's why I admire Musk, for being one of the few people who are actually DOING SOMETHING about it. *And that's just with his car business, let alone his Megapack battery storage business. But you go on, and nurture your petty spite.
1
@gwine9087 And I'm sick of you, you are no less of a lemming than The Fox Spews watchers are.
1
@gwine9087 Um, how are you going to possibly recycle the CO2 combustion vehicles are pumping into the atmosphere, to stay there for up to a thousand years. Not much chance of that being recycled.

We're not fans of his wealth, just his contribution to beating climate change.
1
@Shadowband I never believe hype. Nor do I believe idle, hateful gossip.
1
@Shadowband And you're him. I suggest you read my other comments here, and learn something other than silly gossip.

I predict it will happen by 2027.

They probably could, and should. Trump is a danger to all Americans.
1
Are they not putting in any offshore windmills or electric car charging stations?
1
Thanks to Joe Manchin and Kirsten Sinema.

You poor thing. Losing all hope is devastating, and superficial laughter doesn't help at all, despite the bluff.
1
Actually, climate studies show that we were in the beginning centuries of an Ice Age when we made the Industrial Revolution, which put an END to it. For 800, 000 years atmospheric CO2 oscillated between 200 and 280 ppm, but after the Industrial Revolution it rose (and then shot straight up since the 1950's) until it is now over 420 ppm, and rising faster than it has ever risen.

Someone knows their maths! 100%
1
@fishkeepingfreak I think the time is fast approaching when there will be so many claims that premiums will have to rise so much that most people won't be able to afford them. Then insurance as an industry might collapse. What do you think?
1
Musk has degrees in both economics and physics. He's intelligent.
1
That's more like your hundred dollars; you're spot on the money, mate. Aussie, here!

@davebrown7561 Our mudslinging isn't a patch on yours over there!

@abelis644 🙏Peace.

@MiniatureMashUp Goats make deserts, too.

And certain temperatures.

They'll just move to their hide-outs in New Zealand.

Some people can never face reality, they are so weak-minded and full of fear.
1
Nah - a 36 year old di**head who wants a 19 year old girl's email address so he can show her his "enormous emissions" - what a pitiful excuse for a man.
1
Actually, Earth was in the entry phase of an Ice Age before we had the Industrial Revolution - which put an END to it. If we keep burning up all the remaining fossil fuels we will end up with a temperature hundreds of times hotter than Earth has known since life began. It would take hundreds of thousands of years for Earth to cool down to a temperature that would sustain life anywhere near as prolific as now, if indeed it still had the systems to do so. You are living in a fools paradise.
1
Yes.

@jaysea1553 That person is a religious nut, there's no point talking sense to a person that sees sense as the enemy of faith.
1
Sure, sure....
1
if your claim is true you must be the most frustrated person in the history of humanity.
1
@spiderpickle3255 Exactly. If I hear those inane points (I won't deign to call them arguments) again, I might melt down.
