This war is waged on Palestinian people, close to 80% of those killed are women and children, not Hamas combatants. Furthermore, cultural genocide IS included in the definition of genocide. Moreover, removing the conditions necessary for the maintenance of life is also part of the description of genocide; for example, like how the Israeli government said they would cut off food and water to the Palestinians, obviously with the intent to engineer a famine and kill many Palestinians that way, which the Israelis have done, even firing upon the starving seeking food aid for their starving children in Nth.Gaza. Stop victim blaming. Israel has killed 40,000 innocent people, mostly children! How inhumane, how ghastly, how illegal!

@pilgrimwings1295 He HAS done something very powerful; he has shown leaders the depth of revulsion and protest we the majority of people have for the US aiding and abetting genocide. If others follow suit and self immolate, like they did at the Vietnam War, Biden will have a BIG problem. He already has a big problem with the 100,000 plus vote "uncommitted" in Michigan. it's razor thin for Biden, and he better listen - or he will LOSE.

Hundreds of veterans have since burned their uniforms in solidarity with Aaron Bushnell. They obviously don't think he was "mentally ill." I'll tell you what is an extremely violent act: Firing on starving people trying to get food for their children, and killing 114 of them. The WHO has been into North Gaza since, and verifies that they have seen the many gunshot wounds, and heard the firsthand eyewitness accounts saying that Israel did it. Now that is "extremely violent."
