As a personal anecdote, I saw a person become schizophrenic one day after the first time he smoked marijuana, and his whole life has been crippled by schizophrenia for the past thirty years. In such families marijuana IS a "big deal."

I have literally commented the same point - that media has a ten minute sport report every day on the "news," yet they report on climate change, the biggest story ever in the entire history of humanity's existence, as if it is just another story in the news cycle! It is stupid, irresponsible, and, frankly, an ignorant misrepresentation of the facts. Media should DO THEIR JOB and tell people the FACTS. There is more than enough hair-raising climate research to grab their audience's attention, if reporters would bother to look.
