Even if, for argument's sake, the Van Gogh painting had been destroyed (which it never was at risk of), it would have been a minute loss to our collective culture compared to the cultural losses that the fossil fuel billionaires (and their corrupted politicians) have already made inevitable through their irresponsible actions! I say this, even though Van Gogh is one of my favourite painters, ever.

I have literally commented the same point - that media has a ten minute sport report every day on the "news," yet they report on climate change, the biggest story ever in the entire history of humanity's existence, as if it is just another story in the news cycle! It is stupid, irresponsible, and, frankly, an ignorant misrepresentation of the facts. Media should DO THEIR JOB and tell people the FACTS. There is more than enough hair-raising climate research to grab their audience's attention, if reporters would bother to look.
