As someone with a family member with serious mental illness, I want to point out that it is totally incorrect to believe that such people only express - when they are ill - beliefs that are already within them when they are well. Actually, when ill they can believe and say things that would be completely foreign to them when well. However, considering his public platform it is essential that it is seen that such bigotry is unacceptable.
