  3.  @lolawants2008  So do you know the story (true story) of how he bombed a couple of apartment blocks full of people in Russia, just to falsely accuse Chechen "terrorists" and justify the invasion of Chechnya? That invasion then skyrocketed his popularity almost overnight, and he then won the election. Classic Putin. He hasn't "changed" like Macron claims. He's always been a killer willing to sacrifice even his own people in order to snatch power and wealth.

  7.  @lolawants2008  Putin didn't "mysteriously seize power out of nowhere," he worked for Boris Yeltsin, who thought he would be a great replacement as leader, although Putin wasn't very popular until he attacked Chechnya shortly before the election. As for Murdoch, he made a move into Russian media in 2000, with News Outdoor, a huge billboard company. Additionally, one of his managers at Fox News was later found to have moved from Fox to help a Russian oligarch set up, over four years starting in 2011, I think, a television propaganda network which has worked aggressively to promote the war in Donbas. Unsurprising, Murdoch has extensive investments in oil and gas, and his news network has promoted war in geographical areas which have major gas or oil deposits.

  12. No, the actual reason is Putin wants a permanent warm water port, and the enormous undeveloped gas deposits underneath the Donbas region. He also wants the excellent gas storage and pipeline infrastructure through Ukraine, stretching to the border of the EU. For years now he has been building extensive coastal infrastructure connecting between Russia, Europe and the oil and gas deposits opening up in the Arctic as Arctic sea ice is destroyed by global warming. Putin isn't a "discerning and cultured man;" he is a sociopath who is sacrificing hundreds of thousands of Russian men for his greed, on the altar of Mammon.
