  1. Petty little Putin. Crimea always belonged to the Crimean tatars. They have a two thousand year history of developing their identity in Crimea. Russia deported many of them to Turkey (under the Soviets) - just another vile case of ethnic cleansing of indigenous people committed by Russian regimes - and replaced them with Russians. Now Russia likes to claim that Crimea is ethnically Russian!  Well, that always happens after ethnic cleansing and usurpation of territory, doesn't it? It doesn't make it true. Russians also tried to eliminate the Ukrainians with the engineered famine known as the Holodomor; but Ukrainians won't give up. In fact, they had a civilisation there long before Russia did - and they will win. Glory to Ukraine!
