If the USA stopped supporting Ukraine in this war it is likely that Russia would take all of Ukraine. Russia wouldn't stop there, they would invade Europe. Europe is part of NATO, and the USA would have to enter the war, and fight, but by then it would be much harder to defeat them, with Russia on the border of the EU. Costs in US dollars and lives would skyrocket. And, in a direct war with NATO (which includes the US) the risk of Russia using its superior nuclear arsenal on the US would become very high. Republicans ought to realise that.
