  1. Every country that is in NATO ASKED to be in it for the protection it affords from aggressors. Anyone claiming that NATO is being "greedy" in Eastern Europe is saying that those countries had no right to SELF-DETERMINATION, and that larger countries have some right of might to decide whether they can enter into defensive treaties, and decide their own fate. What right does Russia have to say those countries can't defend themselves as they see fit?

  2.  @annkristoff4303  Every country in NATO asked to be in it for protection, and all those in Europe wanted protection from Russia, who has proven itself aggressive. It invaded Afghanistan, too, you do realise. Also, Russia has been invading Africa, via Putin's erstwhile friend, Prigozhin's private army. It has also invaded and taken Crimea, invaded Chechnya, invaded Georgia, helped slaughter and starve innocents in Syria, and now is busy bombing hospitals and grain silos and train stations and apartment blocks in Ukraine - so they all have GOOD REASON to want to be a part of NATO, as is their RIGHT as INDEPENDENT NATIONS.
