  1. The advantages of breaking abstractions seems ephemeral. I mean abstractions were invented for the reason — easier overall management of complex systems. It suggests to exchange so called "syscall dance" to "overall management, organization, security hell" for the purpose of possibly getting some performance with direct access to hardware. Is it worth it? I'm not convinced.

  2. Solution to package management hell: keep multiple versions of libraries in the store, then link particular lib versions to apps. BAM, problem solved.
