  1. I'm not supporting the war, but if we're being honest, the attack wasn't really unprovoked, with talks of Ukraine joining the NATO - Russia's defence potential were being threatened. Ukraine's current government did a lot to make the situation worse, including not willing to resolve the Donbas/Lugansk conflict peacefully.

  8. I think Russia has had enough of NATO on its borders. It is a vicious cicle rooting from a premise: "Russia is big and dangerous!" > "We need to make a military alliance against it" > The act of expanding a military alliance aimed primarily againts it makes Russia feel threatened > Russia tries to stop the expansion of the military alliance against it > "See, Russia is big and dangerous! And if you don't join the alliance it will attack you!" > ... If you would like to say "No, NATO is not aimed against Russia!", then why Russia can't join it?
