@colebehnke7767 Maybe there was some syndicalist rhetoric in the beginning of fascism, but in the end it turned out to be just populism. Fascism is mostly about centralized state control.

@colebehnke7767 Fascism and socialism are opposing ideologies. "Fascism opposed class conflict and the egalitarian and international character of socialism. It strongly opposed liberalism, communism, anarchism, and democratic socialism." Early fascism socialist rhetoric was basically populism to lure the masses.

@colebehnke7767 Check your facts. Corparatism is not a form of socialism. Private property was not abolished under fascism. Corparatism was aimed to force classes to "cooperate" for the "good of the nation", instead of struggling. But it wasn't class-less socio-economic regime. Large businesses profited from the regime. While the rest of the economy was controled by the state, not the workers.

"Authoritarianism is considered a core concept of fascism and scholars agree that a fascist regime is foremost an authoritarian form of government, although not all authoritarian regimes are fascist." In 1930s Nazi Germany transferred public ownership into the private sector and handed over some public services to private organizations, mostly those affiliated with the Nazi Party.

@colebehnke7767 I align with Marxist view on fascism: it represents the last attempt of a ruling class (specifically, the capitalist bourgeoisie) to preserve its grip on power in the face of an imminent proletarian revolution. Marxists believe fascist movements are not necessarily created by the ruling class, but they can only gain political power with the help of that class and with funding from big business. Once in power, the fascists serve the interests of their benefactors. And hisorical record of how fascism came into power support this claim.

@colebehnke7767 I'm afraid you didn't read properly. Private ownership was not abolished. Nazi state was in corporatist relationships with the business. And of course business representatives were in Nazi Party. Privatization was done per definition: from public/state ownership to the private hands in Nazi Party. There is historical proof how big business profited from Nazi regime.

@liubei3058 You need to judge the resulting actions, not talks or promises. As if you didn't know that politicians exploit populism to rise into power, but once in power realise their ulterior motives. That's what happened with Fascism/Nazism, they came into power on the rise of social movement with populist talks, but once in power protected interests of corporations. It was a wolf in sheep's clothing designed to stop the real social change from happening.
