OpenAI profits from increased attention to AI market. you should take the things that business PR figures say with a grain of salt, because it's often manipulation (pure human manipulation, without the help of AI).

  35. First an AI should be endowed with its own wants and need. Until then fears of AI taking over and destroying the world is a fever dream. AI will take over the world but it will be in banal and predictable ways, unlike your Hollywood tales. AI will just gradually replace humans in economy, humans will have nothing better to do than to die off en masse, collapsing the whole capitalism production paradigm, the remaining society will regress to previous economic states, like feudalism or worse.
