@jakethibault2890 Yes, but the strangely very similar circumstances and the developments that we see repeating right now are largely attributed to the capitalism context and the way it tries to revitalise itself through war and destruction.
It's a known fact that capitalism is experiencing regular crisis due to the overproduction. Regular financial crisis are due to the fact it is becoming hard to find where to invest money to get a quick and reliable profit, so we see financial bubbles forming frequently instead. There's just too much free money floating around without much use accumulated in the hands of the wealthy class. So, instead of increasing pay to the workers, which would stimulate the economy, but unfortunately decrease the profits, the selfish capitalist class of each country decides to militarily compete with one another in hopes of reaping the benefit of the 'winner' gaining new markets and new resources, all the while burning tons of financial and human resources.
Also, rebuilding after the war would be a massive undertaking, which is a large demand in terms of work and resources in itself. So, somebody is gonna profit off that. Someone who will stay relativelly unharmed by the war, keeping its production facilities operational. We went through this scenario in two previous World Wars, which were all under capitalism.
