As if becoming dissociated doesn't carry its own set of ugly life problems, starting from the fact that emotions have strong linkage with our motivation, and inherently fueling our actions. What should be taught, instead of primitive dissociating from emotions (this trauma happens naturally in toxic environments), is emotional intelligence. Identifying and understanding yours and others emotions, their causes, what they are trying to tell, and sensing when someone is trying to manipulate your emotions and react appropriately.
