Wealthy westen nations are build on hyper-productivity, fierce competition and exploitation of men by other men, self-exploitation, that's not conducive to good mental health. And you don't need to invent a bicycle to explain the reasons, look up an old Marxist concept of 'alienation'.

A content creator on a large social platform makes a video about the harmful effects of smartphones (it's not smartphones themselves, but what they are used for, and they are used for... surprise surprise: consume content on social platforms) is kind of ironic and self-oblivious. In truth smartphones aren't just bad there are some good sides too. But all these videos blaming smartphones for the societal ills are quite one-sided.
