+detox4u Your party owns the poorest have not states in the union and take more federal money than they give.

@user-qp4ij4yl8y Causation has been shown, you are using head in the sand thinking. You are denying a reality you find uncomfortable. I am not responsible for the actions of others but denying systemic problems exist makes you part of them.
1
@user-qp4ij4yl8y This is an erroneous conclusion that ignores key historical truths and policy that differentiates these groups. No one is asking you as a white person to take responsibility for the actions of others. You are expected to not ignore inconvenient realities that question your image of history. Pretending there has not been and to a ever lessor degree continues to be systemic discrimination in our society is head in the sand nonsense. To admit that truth is not indictment of you unless you are too are a bigot or support the fail polices that have promoted a broken bigoted status quo. It appears someone is a little oversensitive and strangely defensive.
1
@user-qp4ij4yl8y Really? How So? You are the one moaning about accountability not me. It is not clear you understand what defensive means, is english your first language?
1
@user-qp4ij4yl8y Silly, recognizing historical truths is not racist, ignoring them to protect your feelings is.
1
@user-qp4ij4yl8y That being said ignoring history or existing problems because of your skin tone is playing ostrich and nothing more. As a fellow "white" person I not feel accountable for the actions of slavers, KKK members and overtly racist polices of the past. But that does not mean they did not happen. Actions by people who share my skin tone while in power enacted policy and standards that were innately racist. That does not reflect on me but did happen. That you dislike racism does not make that truth go away.
1
@user-qp4ij4yl8y I would argue racism is actually the standard, only experience and exposure counters it. Insular and isolated individuals are more racist as a default. If as a species we had a single skin tone there is an element of humanity that would be fighting to divide us by region, eye or hair color. Our species natural racism becomes most problematic when it shapes policy in regard to minorities in the community or limits the options of those within it based on an arbitrary asthenic distinction. One of the first steps to mitigate the downside is to acknowledge and understand our histories problematic policy. We need to evaluate what we have done to better apply policy that is not racist and undo those that are which are still in place to maximize equality of opportunity for all.
