  3. Iran will not use them either. Any country that uses in anger against another will be turned into a sheet of glass. When the US and USSR stood off it as MAD (Mutually Assured destruction) that held the two powers at bay. In the case of both North Korea and Iran it is not MAD that should stop them but AD (Assured destruction) that will hold them back.

  4. It was a completely different time than now. The fact is the economic powers that really control both countries would now not let it happen except as a last resort. The big threat of nuclear weapons has diminished for a good reason that has little to do with a love of peace but instead a love of profit. If any minor power threatened that cash flow the leash would come off and you can bet the small crazy guys would come out the big loser even if they managed to cause a bloody nose to the victors.
