Peoples comfort is more important that trying to make you feel better about holding the language in stasis over your stunted feels. @davidneiner2133 He is doing nothing but validate preconceptions. He is convincing no one new on this stuff. He has made bank spinning unpopular ideas as intellectual targeted at a specific audience who craves that. He has become a dark side salesmen in defense of an empty majority grievance culture. He lacks internal consistency of even his own spin, it should undermine him more than it does. At the start what he shared had value, his evolution to chasing issues thst fill his bank account and his claimed expertise on things he is clearly clueless about makes a mockery of his actual achievements.

@davidneiner2133 Not sure that is true, that it does not have every answer yet does not change the fact it has served us very well in real and practical ways. Science does not pretend to have all the answers and it is ok saying, "I don't know for sure". But any assertions it does make are based on actual data that can be replicated, studied and later refuted if better data comes along. Although it does not ever offer certainty, it does offer an understanding that the religious perspective cedes entirely. Saying your god did it effectively ends all inquiry into how things actually work. Faith has real value in a specific arena. But when it supplants reason or demands we ignore what our eyes see, it only holds us back. It is a consistently failing attempt of the religious leaders to maintain their relevance and power Jorden may sound like a scientist, but that is where his link to the scientific community on most issues ends. There are false profits in both religious and scientific circles. Both religion and science are framed through man. You can choose a bad messenger in either to lead or teach you. That does not invalidate the study of either

@missslick207 I agree he is no profit even as his most ardent follows pretend he is. I personally object he tries to act as an authority on any number of issues he has no training or expertise on. His manor and accomplishments give him unearned credit he abuses for clicks. He tries to tie his ideas to science and philosophy, both concepts largely misunderstood by his audience to make him sound learned. He makes authoritative statements but they are rarely backed by any consensuses. His spin is crafted to sound high minded and he makes references to real studies and ideas but consistently misrepresents what they mean. It he was just a guy sharing what he thought that would be fine by me even if we disagreed. But he sells snake oil while pretending to be principled to preselected audience. He consistently pushes stasis or even regression on behalf of a small elite. There is a great deal money in a targeted ugly status quo.
