Robin Banks Face shields are more attached to personal protection from larger particulates like safety glasses are. A surgeon would wear one to protect from blood splatter and to keep particulate out of their eyes/ mucus membranes. It has been shown that wearing just simple cloth masks greatly reduces spread by the infected and protects those who are not infected. It is estimated with wide spread mask use like they have in Asia we could have saved over 100,000 lives. Wearing a mask in not political and is no real imposition on you. If everyone did it that would mean asymptomatic people would not as readily spread it and that would be a win for us all.

@chuckdickinson7123 Mask usage helps because it aids in preventing from spreading the virus to others if you have it. in a country where 5% of the population has been infected that has value. Cloth masks are not intended to protect the wearer. Think of why surgeons wear a cloth mask? It is not because they expect to be infected by the patient. The concern is not for those who recover. Part of the concern is the fact that 10% of the people who get it have long term issues even after recovering. A certain number end up needing ICU if they are to have any chance of surviving. Letting it spread widely means we will not have enough hospital beds to care for them. The idea this is a harmless virus is a lie sold to you by monsters that have proven they would step over your families bodies for a nickel.

@PromethiusIOI You are projecting, that you do not care about anyone else does not mean everyone is as anti social as you are. I do care about others and their loved ones getting sick and if you were not broken you would too. All masks do is help prevent spread, they are not a magic bullet. The best defense is staying out of large groups of people and limiting your contact to as few as you can. With spin as bad as yours that you ever call anyone a dingus is more of that projection I talked about earlier.

The fact is I do care about other people who are concerned for others as I have a thing called empathy. T You are correct in one way, I am not remotely like Jesus and not everyone is included in my concern. @PromethiusIOI Even the halfwits wearing their masks under their nose like chin diapers are better than those same morons without a mask. That at least prevents some of the covid particles that spew from their asymptomatic open gobs. When you know how dumb they are it should be clear they need definitive guidance or they will never do the right thing that is in all our best interests. Even their failure to use masks properly would be better than giving up on the idea entirely because we have too many simpletons.
