@jubeilam8128 This is where you miss the point. Any immunity is temporary with this virus, including yours. Over time, just like I will need a booster you will need to get covid again. I will take my chances with another shot, the risks and side effects are so small to as to be non existent. You are choosing to take chances with not only your own live but those around you to get your chosen form of booster. The "unknown side effects" are an empty boogie man born from a specific set of media sources that are disconnected from reality. Their spin is built on misinterpreted facts, unverifiable claims or overt falsehoods. The side effects and danger of the vaccine is infinitesimal. The risks of getting the virus to re-boost your immunity are far higher not just to you but to anyone on the chain of infections you spawn when you become a vector again.

@greatlakeslighthouses Shug, unemployed clowns with nothing better to do than show their lack of concern for others and whine like children about rights as they ignore social responsibility over their feelings. You go stand with those self important snowflakes because they are afraid of medicine, most Canadians will not be with you. Long winter? Too bad for them they are the ones going to be stuck outside in the cold.
2
Ridiculous fear of proven medicine unbecoming an adult.
2
Why would you listen to the aforementioned virologist but ignore virtually every other one? Picking your experts based on ideology and what makes you feel good is cultish, just a FYI.
2
The government enacting health regulation? Um, mandates for specific jobs are nothing new. They are just adding one more jab to the list.
2
The reason they are not crushing these protests like they do others is these medical Mennonites are hard right wing. The rules are only for beating down and arresting the left.
2
A handful of extremists that should find other work is proof of nothing but the fact that some people will buy into anything. Even at the cost of their livelihoods, cults can do that.
2
Public health in terms preventing the spread of a novel virus during a pandemic. Lobby to close bars as a separate issue if you feel it important. Not the same thing.
2
Rebellion Party there is no such thing a1s a community banker. They are all hard core capitalists. That is why they want capitalist business open.
2
@jasonmorgan6448 Protest the people who enact policy not the people working to save lives. Protest the decision makers not those who put their own lives at risk every day. If you protest the hospitals for working to preserve lives you clearly do not care about then never use one. We could use the space for people who understand the value of science and medicine.
2
Who cares, they should start looking for new jobs now.
2
@jessetombstone7773 How about you pay attention to what i said instead of ignoring it. I have no idea what media you consume but the numbers are not in question. Sticking your head in the sand like an ostrich does not counter me. All information is not of equal value or verisaity. What you will show me is non peer reviewed claims and interpretations of actual issues raised by scientists but spun in a way meat to scare and misinform you. The only way your take makes sense is to to think every pharma company is out to maliciously poison everyone. That makes no sense. One last thing, quit making assertions you do not understand. The not a vaccine talking point is both silly and semantic. It makes you look ignorant and nothing else. They do not call it a mrna vaccine for nothing. Vaccine or not it provides Immunol protection against a novel virus.
2
The job is mostly staffed by retired people making pin money. They are already vaccinated but doing the job is not worth the risk they take doing it. They do not need the work anyway so they are not coming back
2
Has nothing to do with stagnating gdp, The policy only boosts the metrics that measure our economy. The spin the middle class is suffering becuase of mmigrants is pointing away from the problem as a distraction
2
Good idea!
2
They might change their mind when they find out they can not send them to school if they do not.
2
We had no choice. It will save lives we would have thrown away on a forever war that was never going to end unless we left anyway.
2
We have had vaccine requirements for specific jobs forever. BLM is not associated with this issue, in this case the medical community has simply added a vaccine to the list of required ones, a list that already existed. Requiring vaccinations for specific professions is old school, this is not a new phenomena and you need to stop pretending it is.
2
@jamesbond1231 Authoritarian perhaps, but no more so than we ever were. Perhaps you should look up what fascist means. Health regulations are not generally considered fascist ..
2
@jamesbond1231 Let me guess, do not know how to read?
2
@bozbozman1575 she is not a monach and is not playing radio host anymore, she reperestents the entire province and does not represent the will of the people. She would rather be american and will pay for it at the ballot box.
2
1 day, that is not in week. The hospitals are already full genius.
2
Satan And ... your point? The inncoliation provides a great deal of protection. It provides a MUCH LOWER risk permanent damage and no risk of infecting anyone you care about. Getting your immunity naturally has very high risk for death and an unacceptable risk for permanent damage. Not to mention you become a vector that is likely to pass the virus on to others who may roll the dice and end up dead because of your ignorant choice. The respective risks of taking the shot or getting the virus are not even in the same ballpark.
2
The rest of the provinces are saying they will keep Albertens from traveling as long as they are acting like Texas and Florida.
2
garnet hammerhead Follow public health mandates or suffer, this is the way it has always been. Public health dicates were never optional.
2
@tanxih8itsupreme409 You are correct, it should be included in my list of fails.
2
@tanxih8itsupreme409 Am pretty concerned there are lessons that will be learned late.
2
Protesting people who are working to save lives is brain dead, waaaaa indeed.
2
Suspicious? This is not out of the blue and is happening world wide, you think the CDN government is doing this? Go check, your head may be really broken.
2
tite mikes Don't care. If I am wrong about what happened on 911 it does not infect my family with a novel pathogen. Theses events have nothing in common.
2
@ImOverThis2 Unless you had special dispensation or home schooled you needed it for school. If you traveled to central america, asia or many other places you required extra shots. No one is required to accept you into their country if you do not match basic health standards with out special dispensation for those with religious or health exemptions. Got news for you culty, your experience in the first world makes you part of a tiny minority. Mandates are nothing new.
2
tite mikes it is an interesting question but is irrelevant to a Canadian election.
2
@ImOverThis2 I still have family in Ontario and went to school there as a child. To this day you require vaccination to attend school or you need to get special dispensation. This is going back over 40 years. In Ontario the vaccinations were mandatory if you did not have special dispensation for religious or health reasons. I have no idea what is going in Alberta which is the Louisiana of Canada, not exactly a thought model on public health. Any country has a every right to ask for your vaccination status and turn you away or ask you to quarneteen if they think you are a risk. They do not even need a reason to reject you at the border. That you decided to not get vaccinated ensures you will be required to quarantine or be turned away. This is pretty standard public health policy for travel today. When going to the US for example Canadians need to be fully vaccinated, that means two shots of one vaccine. This is causing trouble even for Canadians who are considered fully vaccinated in Canada but have mixed shots. The idea that anti vaxers will be trooping across the border either way anytime soon is an empty pipe dream.
2
Health care regulations are almost never optional.
2
@Oodles of Noodles I would not expect the NPC's protesting to not pay much in taxes anyway. We would not miss their money. Kicking them out of the system would likely save us resources in the long run. They do not trust medicine anyway, it means they generally go see a doctor too late and end up being a drain on the system. It just surprises me they go at all, if I thought doctors were trying to poison me I would not trust them even a little bit. If I thought they were lying enough to protest at hospitals I would never set foot inside.
2
@nothing2see315 Protesting at hospitals when they do not set policy is deeply cryonic.
2
@nothing2see315 fair, that would make my second spelling more apt. I will make sure that the dictionary people get it right when adding it.
2
More money from Cops helps nothing when It come to violence. Community outreach is better use for the spending.
2
Bet if we watched media you liked it would be lower.
2
@Rainier_Wolfcastle This is no real split on this issue. There is a fact free anti science fringe hysterically groping onto the smallest concern while overtly ignoring the threat the virus poses to life as normal without overflowing EU wards and full morgues.
2
@karinadsouza4929 And the clowns shows you like are experts? Empty and weak is all you got.
2
Hydro, solar, nuclear. You know our power grid.
2
Nuremberg was a war crimes tribunal, there was no war here sparky.
2
Why would they, almost all of them are vaccinated and do not see tyranny as a getting a safe effective shot meant to protect everyone.
2
We have had vaccine mandates for a half a century, catch up!
2
@Patrick-bw7kr Vaccination does work. There is a reason that hospitals are overflowing with the unvaccinated.
2
@Patrick-bw7kr They are not, they are 90% wak job fringe dwellers and misinformed NPC's who are tired of the pandemic and are jumping on for the ride of a "trucker convey" made mostly of pickups.
2
@techtiger217 Mostly pickups, no where near the record of most trucks in a convoy. This is an anti vax fever dream being loud but representing almost no one. If she thinks she is an immunologist and a steel and logs hauler she is not.
2
This is a no brainer, medical people avoiding vaccines should disqualify them from performing medicine.
2
I would argue that avoiding getting the virus and getting your immunity from inoculation has at he upside of you not getting virus and potentially becoming a vector. That advantage alone overrides any questionable immunity benefit. Getting the virus is problematic even if you get over it easily and without long term damage. Becoming a link in a chain that kills others is the main concern.
