  1. You'd have to be pretty ignorant to believe that EU and US mind that Russia makes just a tiny profit. This is about keeping price spikes away, and making sure that Russia make less per barrel, and also keep the world market price down. Look at Russia's exploitation price, and look at the lousy $54 they are selling each barrel for today.

  4. Which keeps world market price of oil down. Embargo would have the opposite effect. Now everybody is happy except Russia. $54 per barrel. It is peanuts.
