Iraq was just pure capitalism on USA's part, much like Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Afghanistan was inevitable. If you want your nation left alone, do not host a terrorist that attacks NYC.

As a person that has travelled in well over 50+ countries, for me it is ludicrous to believe that the developing world will rise up in some awareness of themselves being the "global south", and use Russia as a champion for that belief. The average Khmer or Rwandan is no big fan of Russia, and even if they were, it would not matter. They have no power.
