  2. There is no deviousness. It is a basic question and the interviewed are allowed to answer it any way they want. Some answer that it is just an issue of tradition. Fully acceptable to all. Some others spin off on a racist and supremacist tangent. Not acceptable to many. Besides Jewish religion is full of ingenious complex questions like that as far as I recall. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
