I would suggest also that the ones with single holes and the holes larger or open on one side or C-shaped openings, not complete circular holes like you could "saddle" a stick with would be spear or arrow straighteners. As a primitive archer, you do have to routinely re-straighten some shafts and they can tend to drift back into irregular shapes after straightened if not used soon. Spear shafts for an atlatl would suffer the same.
