If Racism, mental health, homelessness have been problematic for a while.... why is the city council now dealing with it like its a new problem?

@CrossmoorMafia better yet. Why should the money come out of the police dept. to deal with long standing common large city social problems? Maybe, street repair, water systems, and the sewage system should be defunded... since their obviously over funded too... jk.

@polkunus mental health and homelessness aren't problems that can go away no matter what anyone does. Even reducing them is a monumental undertaking that money alone will not help.

@polkunus true. But like many things that are expensive and keep going up with almost unlimited reoccurring costs as the population increases. The issue complexity and costs are like 2 prongs of a sharp fork.
