Scaled up model rockets still come with a price tag... $$$ how was this effort financed?

Come on Kim, everyone knows your rockets aren't a whole lot better and you have government backing...

Proof positive, it's still rocket science....

They just needed FAA launch approval for a basic model rocket (extra large). Kids do this every weekend with smaller rockets...

They should have tried with liquid oxygen propellant that would be really expensive development costs... But real rocket results.

Build something...

@pneumatonic almost the whole world is developing some kind of rocket these day for different purposes. (Look at N Korea) the most basic rocket need is to launch satellites into space. That is too vital a function to ignore. You and I are communicating through satellites right now! If you watch TV, internet, telephone you are using satellites. As for the EPA, the emission levels are pure politics and each country sets their own levels.... we as a world are getting greener and cleaner each day. For 7 billion people that's not too bad! :)

@clayjens almost every project runs over budget. Those unexpected costs add up fast.

Mycel true, but if you're going to shoot for the stars with all these future rocket scientists might as well aim high... I agree though. It was a joke. No business with LOX even if they could afford it....
