  1. Law enforcement should require a 4 year college degree in any major 1st to apply for the job. It would fundamentally change the policing we receive in the US.

  2.  @pillcosby546  in law enforcement the pay, benefits, OT, pension and unionization outweigh what most recent college graduates are offered to start. More then teachers. Government jobs are more golden then ever these days...

  3. Law enforcement should be learning to talk out their differences, not beating it out. They are no better then the public they try to serve.....

  4. They are going to have a boxing match over applying a patch 6 months too early. Because its against the rules.... These cops need a life outside of work.

  9.  @mr.nemesis6442  yep..LAPD and the sheriff's department are always open for new hires. Same with many cities around LA. Lot of boomer cops are retiring for the generous benefits still available. Only the federal government i believe requires a 4 year degree. FBI, Treasury, IRS, etc for employment.

  10. Since these marches, protests and riots are winding down Can you imagine how much overtime was paid out to law enforcement?? Millions of dollars no doubt. The national bill probably hasn't been added up yet.

  11. The LA county sheriff's department only hires about 2-3 out of every 100 applicants. Plenty of job applicants for these high paying jobs for life.
