  7. you may have presented your question as a sarcastic remark but many people present it as a serious question: should we be able to own a ground to air missile so I presented my response  like it was a serious question because in many debates it is presented as a serious question.........regardless of intelligence level every free person has a right to bear arms

  8. you don't need a missile for personal self defense .......the question is not need but do you have the right to won a missile .............you do but not under the 2nd amendment............your right to own a missile is protected under some other aspect of the bill of rights

I agree that keeping slave rebellions down was one of the reasons they wrote the amendment but there were several reasons....................that wasn't the only one.........................being able to protect yourself from other citizens who may attack in an attempt to rob you or for vengeful purposes was also a reason they wrote the amendment

  20. first of all a rocket launcher wouldn't be very convenient  and missile would not be appropriate ................it should be legal for you to buy these things but neither would be protected under the 2nd amendment.....................it  protects small weapons  that you would use on a person or small group of people in regular situations...................the 2nd  amendment wouldn't protect your right to own a missile but  you have a basic right to own one under other protections in the constitution

  21. the militia part of the  2nd amendment  is out of date but the idea of using   guns to protect yourself from an attacker or group of attackers is not out of date...……………….and semi automatic weapons are designed to defend against a small group of attackers……………….the  2nd amendment is in the countries founding document so all other laws are judged against it

Thom said  at 2:35  that the northerners were worried about a standing federal army becoming tyrannical ...........it's possible that that army could act alone but also that  it could act on behalf of the federal government if it became tyrannical................he is leaving out  the idea that they could be taking orders from the federal government when they become tyrannical

''''.........so that would include  deterring standing armies that have overthrown a government from creating a tyrannical government
