  6. Its not our nature unfortunately. We are a primitive species prone to greed & violence. This life is temporary, as is our species.

  7. The problem is humans only see things in a very narrow short term perspective. A human life is short....less than 100 years so these longer cycles aren't really considered in terms of our politics and science and that's a problem. Also our science is not perfect. We actually understand little when it comes to the big picture so politics & hubris will be our downfall. Witness the last 3 years of the so called "pandemic" to see where humanity is headed. We won't be around to see the next ice age but the planet will keep spinning and doing it's thing. Our lasting contribution will be plastic.

  8. This is accurate. I see no indication when observing our species history that we have the capacity to avoid our own destruction. We live in opposition to nature, not in harmony with it and that will be our downfall.
