@downsouth00 Its important for humans to have hope, because otherwise whats the point? But this guy is in the know.....he knows where things are and where things are headed. Its true no one can predict the future but take a look at the world today and humanity's trajectory. Its fucking grim. We're approaching the singularity he speaks about and we're going to see it very soon. I see nothing in humanity's history to indicate we have the intelligence, compassion, or cooperation to solve the problems we now face. If thats fatalistic then so be it. There are no guarantees in life, nature didn't sign a contract that we make it regardless of our actions on this planet. Its up to us, its our choice, and to a large degree we've already made those choices.
