I believe it was president Trump who pulled out of the JCPOA with Iran 🇮🇷 in 2018 . Hence why he needs president Putin to have a word . I don't think Iran trust uncle Sam. Who can blame them .

@fred4687 Well, it's not Russia's 🇷🇺 job to tell Iran what to do and what not to do . However, because they / Russia 🇷🇺 and Iran 🇮🇷 have signed a military alliance agreement , as it stands. Iran 🇮🇷 does not need to have nuclear weapons .

@fred4687 I appreciate your point, thank you . From what I understand, the rail links are part of China's belt and road initiative, in which Iran is still an observer . However, Iran will be part of it in the future. As for Iran/Russia relationships, they are both been sanctioned by the west . Hence , it makes sense for both countries to trades with one another. As we know now, they are also a military alliance.
