  1. I'm not too sure about that . However, I believe that after WW2, Japan returned Taiwan and Penghu Islands to China in accordance with the Cairo proclamation and the postsdam proclamation. Japan serender on October 25th 1945 . China announced the recaptured of Taiwan to the whole world .
