Great apes and chimps have been known to sign (amongst other amazing ish) Did she do full blown sentences and convos, not likely. But could she communicate through ASL? Yes. I have worked w challenged nonverbal kids who don't use ASL as well as Coco did. However, the kids I worked with were able to smile or giggle letting me know what they like or want, so our communication and understanding of eachother is v good eg heavy fast walking always means I'm taking too long w something they don't like. Coco was amazing.

@ElegantHope it seems as though nobody got the joke from the other person, and most agree w you. The jokester should learn to use winky emojis or learn some better jokes.

I was told to go feed baby barn owls in the cellar of the primate sanctuary where I volunteered. It was v dim and I heard loud hissing like many cats. There were 3 babies in the corner bucket of blankets, rocking in unison and reminded me of the witches from Macbeth. I dropped the raw beef, made sure they were okay, and left. Still cute in their own way.

@rainliongod7493 named bc of her lack of a tail. I had the children's books about her. When the cat died, she made the sign for hurt or pain if I remember the book correctly. The book made me an angry child who wanted the cat's caretakers hurt.
