  8. I would never join a sorority or frat, and will never allow my kids to do so. It seems like kids who aren't able to find social circles on their own and have a need to pay for a way to have friends and camaraderie. I am also amazed at anyone who has the time. Anyone who actually works or has a life, would find it next to impossible. I know he probably just wanted to fit it and belong, which makes it all the more tragic. Heartbreaking and unnecessary (I'm someone who does really stupid stuff but knows that almost anything in excess eg water, oxygen,salt, alcohol... is lethal.

  11. But the public school is "private property* so that is his brilliant excuse that will surely hold up in court. Why couldn't he pull the kid over and wrongly accuse him of blowing the stop sign, that would've worked just as well instead of having him speed through it on a school parking lot where there is the extremely rare chance that someone could be walking.

If the dog was older, the more sensitive he'd likely be to heat, while wearing a dark fur coat and only able to sweat through tongue and paws a little (on the hot ground). My dog would drop and not move, so I'd have to carry him home after a few blocks in >85°. Now that he is a teen, I don't go out in temps >72° while sunny.

However, once her pale face was plastered eerywhere w that orange hair, and it hit the news along w her mysterious hiatus to her parents' home, how could he not know? He may not have known originally, bc he was dumb enough to use a metro card that could be tracked to him.

The strange use of an ellipsis and a hyphen, while using a pfp from a show that my grandmother watched when she was a teen, makes me think you're a senior citizen who has problems remembering many words. Why would you feel the need to pretend you're replying as America, unless it is a weak attempt to mock non US citizens, unless bc you've been mocked and it's a case of misery wanting company?   27. A bartender I knew said she wanted to spike a regular customer's drink because she wanted a shift free from his despicable treatment of her, and he never tipped anyone ever. I was laughing because I thought it was funny imagining him missing his $1 beers, while he sat on the commode. I mentioned it to my nursing school professor and he told me it was lethal. Not quite as funny to think my friend could've murdered the customer if she had gone through with it.

  31.  @edwinh.9906  and before that, the Watts riots. And before that..... It seems like there is always simmering that eventually boils over which calms it for a brief time, before it starts again. They did not show some of the more horrific footage that highlighted the most tragic parts of that incident eg the brutal beating of Mr King by police and then the beatings of innocent people who happened to be working or driving through the area when the rioting started (video of a truck driver yanked from his vehicle and beaten into a coma). I never really knew about it until BLM movement caused some channels to mention past incidents of police brutality. This should definitely be taught in school. It does not seem like there was any mention of change regarding police brutality, until the most recent events. The Freddy Gray/ Baltimore City riots were exacerbated by the police cutting off mass transit after students had taken buses to the main tranfer point and were left stranded. However most people think it was teens who wanted a reason to wild out. The distraction the teens caused, seemed to give drug dealers and users an opportunity to loot pharmacies. The city is still burned out and looks like a war zone in some sections. Businesses that survived, eventually closed leaving entire blocks looking like uninhabitable dumps. So sad.
