@mshinasherman7914 that was part of the reason he went to them. I read the book and watched the trials, he only wanted to protect her bc she said she was being hurt. He was trying to get the police to go after Mike, so she wouldn't keep trying bc she also had been trying to recruit gang members who frequented his store. They ripped her off, but Shiadeh didn't want any smoke from them either. He was in it mostly for self preservation. He said he was out of the country and couldn't testify but then he was subpoenaed for the subsequent trial. He was nodding on the stand as it was televised live.

 @mfi-cf7sp the description specifically said that he had cargo pants on, so there had to be a point where she saw below his waist.

@brandonfreeman6517 exactly. How many cops have been convicted of the unspeakable, but their history often shows flagrant disregard for any rules or laws? Police department staff psychiatrists know to look for them, which is why certain people are ineligible to be a cop, or can't make it through a probationary period.
