  2. I have seen so many family and friends tell stroke victims to take it easy and rest bc they think that helps recovery. That is the worst advice, as soon as that person is awake and able, therapy has to start. The longer that the patient waits to start therapy, the less successful the recovery will be. " Use it or lose it" applies to many things but esp brain/muscle deterioration.
