@Marnie-hates-winter I knew a guy who claimed to be a navy seal and another who claimed to be a ranger. They both had pix of their experiences and still had some of the clothes and lots of mementos. The ranger even had a grenade in his gun safe, that he supposedly secretly snagged. But both of them had lots of pix w the others in their group and actually were still friends w some of them. I guess all of that could be faked, but it seems real.
