  1. ​​ @kalechristianson5207 the age that most young people join the military is the age when some SMIs start to manifest symptoms, which makes it more difficult to diagnose bc we don't know if it is trauma from what they've witnessed, SMI, or a combination of both or something else entirely eg substances.

  2. I did my psych rotation at a VA hospital and everyone I met were great people. One of the Vietnam stories I can never unhear. But the staff were kind and truly tried to help. I ended up doing a music therapy project w tons of funk and old school stuff like Car Wash Musical soundtrack songs which got them up and dancing. I ended the hour with songs from Pure Moods which had some of them falling asleep. I hope they enjoyed my company, bc I enjoyed theirs .😢
