@HarlemLightsMD I'm an RN who recently lost a dementia patient. It was so difficult to witness it, that I've actually hidden money to ensure that if I have a similar diagnosis, I will immediately go to Dignitas in Switzerland. End stage was very unfair and unacceptable for such a sweet person like my patient . She was not in hospice until 48 hours prior to the end. The aides that were hired were uneducated and unfamiliar, exacerbating an already awful situation. I think everyone needs to take steps in deciding their care long before it is ever necessary and before it is too late. Nobody plans or hopes to go into a nursing home, yet that is where many end up
