The only reason that he moved out of "his" apartment to let "his" estranged wife stay there is bc he realized that he couldn't spy on her and ambush her if she was living elsewhere; especially if she was living w Julia's family on a secure military base .

His own sister was calling the police bc he was beating Ana while Shereen was visiting. He also slapped his mother, was kicked out of the military, fired from his job...
