  1. I rarely think that the "they set me up" allegation is anything more than a desperate attempt from a guilty person, but something smells. My grandma is my true crime partner and she said that it reminds her of a case that she remembered from when was a child. She remembered it bc the lady was named Bambi like a Disney story. It turns out most people believe Bambi Bembeneki was innocent, especially after the DNA was revealed to be an unknown male. Bembenek had lodged complaints against her local pd saying that they engaged in all sorts of illegal things, prior to her being accused of murder. Some police depts are way worse than criminal gangs.
