  5.  @JAY1892  tbh when serious pain or shock happens, most people don't remember screaming or moaning. I've had it happen once and a man told me that my scream froze him while he was peeing midstream in a restroom across the nightclub w super loud music. I never thought I screamed I thought I just dove through a door.

  16. ​ @Gry101 exactly. Mentally ill people don't show up at the door and say they belong there. The old asylum system was shuttered for v good reasons. The current ones are still awful, but not as bad as they were. I did an internship for a week at an asylum and I will never unsee or unsmell that nightmare. I threatened that I'd sue the school if they didn't find me another internship. It was unsafe and emotionally damaging. I was going to be a patient if I didn't get out of there.
