@Gry101 exactly. Mentally ill people don't show up at the door and say they belong there. The old asylum system was shuttered for v good reasons. The current ones are still awful, but not as bad as they were. I did an internship for a week at an asylum and I will never unsee or unsmell that nightmare. I threatened that I'd sue the school if they didn't find me another internship. It was unsafe and emotionally damaging. I was going to be a patient if I didn't get out of there.
