@abelis644 exactly. This was a 19yo lady who was allowed to have complete confidentiality by law. Why did she spend 9 months hiding it instead of looking up info on what to do and what to expect. She acted like a 14yo, but any pregnant girl is an emancipated minor and is allowed the same rights under the law in most, if not all, states.

@dammar117 I'm not denying that she is a legal adult, but there seems to be some arrested development. She is still in highschool and under her mother's roof. When they were told that the baby was found, the mother said "lexi we told you about this". That made it seem like the mother and someone else wasn't very understanding and instead of talking WITH lexi , they talked at her and were conveying disapproval and disappointment. She should have gone outside and called an ambulance without telling the mother. The hospital isn't supposed to tell anyone if there is a particular patient registered there, so she could've remained secretive . So awful.

@TheBerkeleyBeauty that is so weird. I wouldn't go back to school, but I wouldn't do what she did. Unreal.

@dammar117 but a few people supposedly brought it up. She could have asked her school counselor or anyone, bc she supposedly was close to her cheer coaches. The pictures of her in her cheer uniform at 7 months look v obvious. She could've Googled what her rights were or where she could speak to someone anonymously. She was in pain for quite a long time, so she could've walked down the road and called 911 and have gone to the hospital alone and worked out her anonymity at the hospital. Anything would've been better than this. A few years ago when I was 15, I got into a stranger's car w my sis and my friend. The guy gave us laced kush and my sis seemed like she had way too much. At first I tried to handle it, but after awhile I knew that we had no choice but to call 911. Omg, I was so scared when my mother got there that I was visibly shaking to the point that the staff asked if I needed help. At a certain point, it's time to consider others and face the facts. Anything would've been better than what she did. The attitude of the girl and her mom seemed odd, and going to prom and other behavior seems v uncaring and nonchalant for such a tragedy. So awful.

@symonepetty4256 I know that there are lots of ladies who have no signs, but her pictures at 7 months are v telling. Even her belly button was popped out, it was so obvious that everyone who saw her in a cheer uniform was talking about her and her coach asked her if she was expecting. This was not like your case, Google her pix plz.

@mikimiyazaki pregnant girls are considered emancipated minors and legally have the same rights as adults regarding privacy and Healthcare.

@JessLoveyy that actually made my stomach feel strange. That would definitely be the point where I pulled the help string that is in all hospital restrooms. She could've unlocked the door for the staff and locked it behind them.
