  1.  @Devon1122  I'm glad you brought Andrea Yates up. She was also going through postpartum depression psychosis. Most people don't realize how severe and dangerous it can be. Pregnancy is v hard on the body, the chemical and hormonal changes can cause extreme depression and psychological issues. Andrea Yates husband knew that she had gone through it w the prior births, so he wasnt surprised. She went off of her meds when she was pregnant , for baby's health at the cost of her own and the worst results happened. A famous actress from the 80s, Brooke Shields, described how she got so bad that she could visualize her child being smashed up on the wall and dragged down it w blood trailing behind. This woman was seeing a mental health professional daily, either he didn't take it seriously, she didn't verbalize how bad things were, or she snapped. Postpartum related filicides have been debated for centuries bc doctors and courts have been dealing w it for centuries. The children are the priority and any mother who is describing severe symptoms, should be removed from the kids until she is well enough that there are no s/s of any issues. This is a tragedy that we will see again if there aren't mandated safety measures in place.
