  1. This sort of thing CAN NEVER happen in Australia. Voting here is COMPULSORY, AS IT SHOULD BE!!! Voting here isn't so much a right as a DUTY an Australian citizen, born or naturalised, performs every 3 years at local council, state and federal government levels. And our voting method is STANDARDISED across the country, Also there's none of this nonsense of being registered to vote for a given party. Here in Australia you're required to register with the Australian Electoral Commission upon reaching legal majority age, 18 years, to vote at elections when they're held.... THAT'S IT! America could learn a hell of a lot from Australia on how to run elections. We, on the other hand, use America as the example of how NOT to run elections.
